Hi, I'm Lauren, CEO and Creative Director of Atelier SOZO, and I’m so glad you found my page. What you’ll want to know about me is that I'm a certified makeup artist, trained at JUNGSAMEMOOL Art & Academy and I am a personal color & image consultant originally from Seoul, Korea. My main areas of focus are bridal, fashion, beauty editorial makeup, and personal color consultation and styling.

My training:

Prior to becoming a certified makeup artist, my makeup journey started in 2013 as a self-taught freelance makeup artist. Along the way, I worked as a part-time client advisor at LOUIS VUITTON while working full time as an IP paralegal at several law firms in Washington, D.C. Even as I built my career in the legal field, I never stopped dreaming about my life-long passion for makeup and fashion. Eventually, I left D.C.  and found myself back in Seoul, attending JUNG SAEM MOOL Art & Academy (a professional makeup school) founded by a Korean celebrity makeup artist. After almost a year of extensive training from 2018 to 2019, I became a certified makeup artist. Shortly after that, I attended Korea Education Institute and earned a certificate as a personal color & image consultant. In 2024, to polish my skills and upgrade color system,  I have received additional personal training from the highly reputable company (D.S.) known for personal color analysis in Seoul, Korea.

What I want to do for you:

With this skillset, I can determine your complimentary color tones based on your hair, skin, and eye color. Applying these insights, I will create a customized look using a color palette designed specifically with you in mind.
